South of Neapoli, fossilised tree and plant remains appear in the coastal rock. The municipality’s route also passes the small shores of Agia Marina. Look closely at the geology while leaving fossils in place: their context is part of the story.

This is a full outing from Agios Dimitrios. The final approach can involve unpaved roads and exposed coastal ground, so confirm access and weather before setting out and take water and sturdy shoes.
