Why go
Geraki brings several layers together: the castle above the village, churches with painted interiors and a tradition of weaving. Walk the settlement as well as the archaeological area, paying attention to the stone houses and the change in view as you climb.
Plan it from Agios Dimitrios
This is a good shorter heritage outing from the retreat. Check current access arrangements for churches and the castle, and pair the visit with a relaxed meal or a mountain continuation towards Kosmas.
