Why go
Monemvasia rewards a long walk inside the walls, but the nearby coast deserves time of its own. Pori offers an open sandy shore, while Kastraki sits beside the ancient site of Epidaurus Limera. The combination gives this day both a beach and a sense of the region’s long history.
Plan it from Agios Dimitrios
Decide whether the castle town or the swim is the centre of your day, then choose one beach rather than trying to see everything. Some beaches are exposed to changing wind, so make the final choice on arrival.
