Why go
Skoutari and the double beach near Kotronas give the eastern coast two different places to pause by the water. Farther south, the path at Cape Tainaron leads through an exposed, austere landscape towards the lighthouse. The cape is a walking objective, not a casual extension of a swim.
Plan it from Agios Dimitrios
Choose either a coastal day or a cape walk from Agios Dimitrios: combining everything would make for too much driving. For Tainaron, take water and sun protection and check the wind before walking.
